What are mobile proxies
Mobile proxies are proxy servers that work through IP addresses from mobile operators: MTS, Beeline, MegaFon, Tele2 (Russian mobile carriers). When you connect through a mobile proxy, the site sees an ordinary user with a smartphone — not a data center, not a VPS, not hardware rented from Hetzner.
Physically, a mobile proxy is a farm of USB modems or smartphones with SIM cards. Each modem works in the operator's network, receives a real mobile IP, and "passes through" your traffic via it. From the perspective of the target site, the picture looks like this: a person logged in from a phone with a real Beeline or MTS IP. Nothing suspicious.
Here's the key difference from server proxies. A server proxy takes an IP from a data center — and any modern anti-fraud system detects this instantly by ASN (autonomous system). A mobile proxy gives an IP that sites perceive as a "real person". This is the main advantage.
How mobile proxies work — CGNAT and IP rotation
Why is it so hard to block mobile proxies? It all comes down to how addressing works in mobile networks.
What is CGNAT. There aren't enough public IPv4 addresses in the world — there are about 4 billion, but users far outnumber that. Mobile operators solve this problem through CGNAT (Carrier-Grade NAT): one public IP is distributed to thousands of subscribers at once. Behind one Beeline or MegaFon IP, from 500 to 5000 real people can be "hiding" simultaneously.
This creates an interesting effect for sites: they cannot block a mobile IP without blocking thousands of real users along with it. Wildberries (Russian marketplace) would lose thousands of real customers just to block one bot — who would do that? That's exactly why mobile IPs are on the unspoken "whitelist" of most anti-fraud systems.
How IP rotation works. A mobile proxy server changes the IP on request — by reconnecting the modem to the network. With each reconnection, the operator assigns a new address from its pool. The user sets an auto-rotation interval (for example, every 5 minutes) or changes the IP manually through a rotation link.
For tasks with a large number of requests to a single site, this is ideal: every few requests you're already coming from a new IP, and the site can't track an activity pattern.
Why sites trust mobile IPs
Trust is the key word when talking about mobile proxies. Let's figure out where it comes from.
CGNAT makes blocking impossible. Blocking a mobile IP means blocking thousands of real users. Wildberries, VKontakte (VK), and Avito can't afford to do that. Anti-fraud systems are initially configured to be lenient with mobile networks — it's not a bug, it's a conscious compromise.
TCP/IP fingerprint looks like a smartphone. Modern anti-bot systems analyze not only the IP but also technical parameters of the TCP connection: window size, packet options, handshake behavior. A real mobile modem generates a fingerprint that corresponds to Android or iOS. You can't fake this programmatically — and we know this not from theory: we have our own p0f-fingerprinting system running on all servers.
Compare with a server proxy. Connect through a proxy from OVH or Hetzner — the checking system instantly sees that the ASN belongs to a hosting provider. Such an IP is immediately under suspicion. A mobile IP has an ASN from a mobile operator, thousands of "neighbors", the correct TCP fingerprint. A completely different level of trust.
That's exactly why tasks where server proxies fail — multi-accounting in social networks, working with marketplaces, account promotion — are normally solved through mobile proxies.
Mobile vs server vs residential proxies
To make an informed choice, let's compare three types of proxies by key parameters:
| Parameter | Mobile proxies | Server (datacenter) | Residential |
|---|---|---|---|
| Site trust | Maximum | Low | High |
| Speed | Low–medium | High (100–1000 Mbps) | Medium |
| Price | From ₽2000/month (private) | From ₽30/month | From ₽500/GB |
| IP rotation | Yes, on demand and by timer | Static or paid pools | Yes, automatic |
| Blacklist hits | Extremely rare | Often | Sometimes |
| Best for | Multi-accounting, marketplace scraping, SMM, behavioral factor boosting | Scraping public data (registries, directories), site monitoring, mass tasks on unprotected sites | Geo-targeting, foreign sites, ad verification |
If a task requires maximum trust from protected Russian services — Wildberries, Ozon, VKontakte (VK), Avito — 4G mobile proxies win hands down. Server proxies will work where anti-fraud is weak or non-existent. Residential proxies are a good alternative for foreign scraping, but traffic-based pricing makes them expensive at scale.
Where mobile proxies are used — real data from our logs
Enough theory. We analyzed traffic through our mobile proxies over the last 30 days — here's what's actually happening, without marketing exaggeration.
Case 1: Wildberries and Ozon — marketplace scraping
Marketplaces are the most popular use case. And it makes sense: WB and Ozon are well protected, server proxies barely work there. First a captcha, then a ban.
- Every day, over 4 million requests to Wildberries go through our mobile proxies
- One active client makes up to 530,000 requests per day to Ozon (15.9 million over 30 days)
- Request success rate — consistently above 95%
What are they doing? Monitoring competitor prices, scraping product cards for aggregators, managing seller accounts, tracking search positions. None of this is possible without decent mobile proxies — WB and Ozon block server IPs almost instantly.
If you're working with marketplaces — you can buy mobile proxies with Russian operators directly from us, with operator and city selection.
Case 2: VKontakte — SMM and multi-accounting
VKontakte (VK) fights hard against bots and multi-accounts. VK algorithms detect server proxies quickly — accounts get banned or stuck in endless captchas.
- Several clients make over 300,000 requests to VK per month through our mobile proxies
- Tasks: managing multiple accounts, automating posting, scraping audiences, boosting activity
A mobile IP in VKontakte's eyes is an ordinary user. The social network's algorithms won't distinguish a client using a proxy from a real person if the fingerprint and behavior are correct. The mobile proxy provides the first condition — the rest is up to you.

Case 3: Scraping retail and specialized platforms
Online retail is actively monitored by competitors and aggregators. Based on our data — the tasks are very diverse:
- rossko.ru (auto parts): 74 active clients, averaging ~32,000 requests per client — aggregators and stores monitor auto part prices in real time
- goldapple.ru, detmir.ru, 4lapy.ru — scraping beauty, children's goods, and pet product catalogs
- 5ka.ru (Pyaterochka) — monitoring food prices
These sites are less protected than marketplaces, but mobile proxies still provide noticeably better stability — fewer captchas, fewer blocks, higher success rate.

Case 4: Instagram and TikTok — account promotion
Western social networks have some of the most aggressive anti-bot systems on the market. Without mobile proxies, working with multiple accounts here is practically impossible.
- Instagram: 140 active connections through our proxies — promotion, audience scraping, managing business accounts
- TikTok: one client makes 238,000 requests per month through automated tools
Instagram and TikTok analyze IPs using multiple parameters: ASN, address history, geolocation, behavioral patterns. A mobile IP passes all these checks — unlike data center addresses, which have long been in anti-fraud system databases.
Case 5: ZennoPoster and browser automation
ZennoPoster is one of the most popular automation tools among Russian-speaking users. Auto-filling forms, account registration, working with websites in "live browser" mode.
- 29 users use our mobile proxies specifically for ZennoPoster
- Each does an average of 848,000 requests per month
ZennoPoster with mobile proxies — a powerful combination for tasks where you need to maximize the imitation of a real user. An anti-detection browser combined with mobile proxies gives an even better result.

Types of mobile proxies
Mobile proxies differ by several parameters. Let's go through each one — so you choose what suits your specific task, not what sounds prettier.
By equipment type
- LTE routers (elite mobile proxies) — 6th category LTE devices with frequency aggregation. Aggregation combines multiple frequency bands simultaneously and provides consistently high speed even on a loaded cell tower. This is exactly the equipment used in our elite mobile proxies — for tasks where speed matters: stream scraping, working with video, high-frequency requests to marketplaces.
- USB modems (private mobile proxies) — devices like Huawei E3372, 4th category LTE, without aggregation. Speed is lower, but for most tasks it's more than enough: multi-accounting, scraping, SMM. Our private mobile proxies are built on such modems — a proven solution at an affordable price.
Need maximum speed — go for elite on routers. For most tasks, private ones on USB modems work great and cost less.
By rotation type
- Static mobile proxies — one IP is preserved for the entire rental period. Suitable when address stability is important: for example, for accounts where frequent IP changes cause suspicion.
- Mobile proxies with rotation — IP changes automatically on a timer (every N minutes) or on request via a rotation link. Ideal for scraping: each new batch of requests goes from a new IP.
In practice, rotation is easy to configure: you set the rotation interval in settings or integrate a rotation link into your script. When accessed, the IP changes instantly — without interrupting the main connection.
By operators
- MTS — the largest IP pool, good coverage across all of Russia
- Beeline — wide network, especially in Moscow and major cities
- MegaFon — strong coverage in regions, good 4G speed
- Tele2 — younger IP pool, less likely to appear in blacklists
The choice of operator depends on the task. Some sites react differently to IPs from different operators. We let you choose a specific operator and city — useful when you need geolocation for testing regional features.
By protocol
- HTTP/HTTPS — the standard, suitable for most browsers and scripts
- SOCKS5 — universal protocol for any TCP traffic, better suited for anti-detection browsers and automation tools
For working with anti-detection browsers (Dolphin Anty, AdsPower, Multilogin), we recommend SOCKS5 — it transmits traffic more correctly and doesn't add extra HTTP headers.
Pros and cons of mobile proxies
Pros
- Maximum trust from sites. Mobile IP = "real person" in the eyes of anti-fraud systems. The main advantage that can't be replicated with other proxy types.
- Real mobile IP — not emulation. Not just an imitation of mobile traffic — physical modems and SIM cards from real operators.
- Automatic rotation through reconnection. Changing an IP is a standard operation in a mobile network. Nothing suspicious for either the operator or the target site.
- Practically never end up in blacklists. Mobile pools constantly rotate — one IP doesn't stay with one user for long, reputation quickly "resets".
- Work with the most protected sites. Wildberries, Ozon, VKontakte (VK), Instagram — where server proxies get quickly blocked, mobile ones work stably.
- Correct TCP/IP fingerprint. The connection looks like a real Android or iOS device — passes inspection even at deep traffic analysis levels.
Cons
- More expensive than server proxies. Fair pricing: behind mobile proxies stands real physical equipment — modems, SIM cards, racks, electricity, maintenance. Server proxy is just a virtual machine.
- Speed depends on operator coverage. In good 4G coverage area — fast and stable. During peak hours or with weak coverage, speed can drop.
- IP is not fixed by default. During rotation you get different addresses from the operator's pool. If you need a permanent IP — choose a static plan.
- Latency is slightly higher than server proxies. The route through a mobile network adds 20–50 ms compared to a data center proxy. For web scraping — insignificant. For stock trading — already critical.
How to choose mobile proxies — checklist
- Operator. MTS and Beeline — the largest IP pools. Tele2 is less likely to appear in blacklists. If operator doesn't matter — choose by availability in your desired city.
- Rotation. For scraping — mobile proxies with rotation are required. For account management — better static or rare rotation. Check: is there timer rotation, link rotation, or only on reconnection?
- Protocol. Working with anti-detection browsers — go for SOCKS5. For simple scripts and scrapers, HTTP/HTTPS will do.
- Country and city. For Russian sites — Russian operators. If you need specific geolocation (Moscow, St. Petersburg) — clarify if city pinning is available.
- IP rotation speed. How long does rotation take? A good indicator is 10–60 seconds.
- Technical support. Important that the provider can quickly help with configuration.
- Rental period and price. Real price for quality mobile proxies on Russian operators: from ₽2000/month for private, from ₽500/month for shared. Seeing "mobile proxies" for ₽30–50? Likely server IPs with ASN spoofing, or residential proxies with traffic pricing.
We have two options: renting mobile proxies — connect immediately, no own equipment needed; or your own proxy farm — you buy equipment, install your own SIM cards, we configure the proxy server on your hardware. Support via Telegram — we respond fast.

FAQ: frequently asked questions about mobile proxies
How are mobile proxies different from VPN?
VPN encrypts all traffic and hides your real IP, but the exit IP of a VPN server is usually a data center address. Anti-fraud systems know the IP ranges of popular VPN providers well and block them without problems. Mobile proxy gives you an IP from a mobile operator — the cleanest possible address. Meanwhile, VPN protects all device traffic, while a proxy only works for a specific application or connection.
Can I use mobile proxies for Wildberries?
Yes, and this is one of the most popular scenarios. WB uses serious anti-bot and anti-parsing protection — server proxies don't work well there, they get blocked quickly. Mobile proxies with Russian operators (MTS, Beeline, MegaFon) WB sees as ordinary users. Our clients make millions of requests to WB daily without problems. More details — in our article mobile proxies for Wildberries.
What is IP rotation in mobile proxies?
IP rotation is changing the proxy's external IP address. In mobile networks this happens when the modem reconnects: the operator assigns a new address from its pool. Rotation can be automatic (every N minutes) or manual — on request via a rotation link. Mobile proxies with rotation are especially effective for scraping: after changing the IP, the site "forgets" the previous activity.
Mobile proxies 4G — what does that mean?
The modem is connected to a fourth-generation network (LTE/4G). Mobile proxies 4G provide speeds from 50 to 300 Mbps — enough for any scraping and automation tasks. 4G coverage in Russia covers practically all major and mid-sized cities.
How much do mobile proxies cost?
The real price for quality mobile proxies on Russian operators is from ₽2000/month for a private port, from ₽500/month for shared. Cost depends on operator, rental period, and rotation type. Discounts apply for purchases of 10+ ports. Seeing "mobile proxies" for ₽30–50? Most likely server IPs with spoofed ASN or residential proxies with traffic pricing. Real mobile proxies require physical equipment — that's reflected in the price.
How hard is it to set up mobile proxies?
No harder than setting up a regular proxy. After purchase, you get a host, port, login, and password. In a browser, anti-detection tool, or scraper, you enter this data — and you're done. For SOCKS5, the process is the same. If you need rotation by link — there's a special URL in your personal account, accessing which changes the IP. Most clients set everything up in 5–10 minutes. Have questions — support will help via Telegram.
